Stories from the Sea
Ahoy!
Here I have a collection of stories myself and my lab at Harvard who have done research at sea on the R/V Atlantis (pictured in the header) with the DSV Alvin (pictured at left). I kept a blog at sea on two of my previous cruises in 2009 and 2010 at the Juan de Fuca Ridge - about 200 miles off the coast of Oregon. I may get around to curating a 'best of -moments', as well as relate some of my other travels at some point on this page, but for now, here is a link to my seablog. Our days were at turns exciting, frustrating, hilarious, sleepless, and awe-inspiring. I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures!
PS- There is nothing like seeing the bottom of the ocean with your own eyes.
